Here are 8 composite veneers for a patient of mine Here are 8 composite veneers for a patient of mine. She wanted a natural and characterized look and I think we achieved that. Plenty of translucency here and use of tints and opaquer. Maybe I had too much fun with it 😜😅. We were both very pleased with the results😎😷💪🏽. She came in looking to close her diastema (gap)- but we thought it would create two large teeth. Four teeth meant we wouldn't be able to proportionally increase the height of the teeth in relation to the canines. Six teeth an esthetic dentist usually won't recommend as it looks too obvious that work was done- and so we settled with eight. This way we could expand her smile, increase the length of her teeth and add some fullness to her lips. I think we got that- what do you guys think?

Dm for consults 😜
It’s “refreshing" to be back! I missed dentist It’s “refreshing" to be back! I missed dentistry. Hearing the rheostat is music to my ears 😌🎶 dentists, can you relate? ⤵️
With that being said, I will forever cherish the quarantine period. In general, I work a lot and enjoy my time in clinic, but I also love to live a life outside of work! All of a sudden we were blessed with free time and I definitely took advantage of it. Along with really connecting with my hobbies, friends and family, I took the time to reflect on many things. Mostly, health is wealth. At home exercises, yoga and meditation make me seriously consider a microscope 😆
Fingers crossed for good things ahead and wishing the best for you all! 🤞 🎥: @thekcagency

At one point in my life I wanted to be an astronau At one point in my life I wanted to be an astronaut. Hey mom, I did it! 😆🙌🏼
Even with the latest easing of the PPE regulations for dentists, we still don’t know enough about the virus so to be extra safe, our clinic is maintaining the stricter and prior rules. If COVID-19 passes and we find out we were being too careful, then awesome and thank goodness, it’s party time! 🎉🌮 however, if there happens to be a second wave, I think it’s important to 1. Maintain strict habits necessary to prevent spread of infection and 2. Habituate to becoming an astronaut dentist 😂
What do you guys think about the new face of dentistry? Comment below your thoughts! ⤵️

A different angle to my previous post. Here are th A different angle to my previous post. Here are three layered composite buildups using @3mcanada filtek supreme ultra A3D, A2B, A1E, and Clear. You would only do these if you truly love to layer composites. I'm always critical of my finish and polish and never satisfied. I'm still working on it- especially the line angles. I'm happy with the progress of my layering though 😎. Inspired by the crazy excellent layering posts of @felipevillaverde. The tints are cool but I prefer the handling of composite- however- it was important for me to understand how they would affect the outcome.
If you have front teeth that need a fix dm me. As you can see I would have so much fun helping out 😜

To patients- when your dentist spends hours on fix To patients- when your dentist spends hours on fixing your front teeth- you may not realize the artistry required to replace them. As you can see- teeth are complex in color. Does your dentist use paintbrushes, a DSLR camera, and show you the work before sending you home? Sometimes your long appointments may seem tiresome- and they are- but never forget your dentist may be taking the extra mile to ensure both them and the patient is satisfied. These are composite bondings- the same material as your every day filling. When used with care- it is beautiful. Dentistry is an art and science!

I decided to challenge myself by using white colored opaquer to create a similar effects as my previous post. I tried to verify using the depolarizer that I was on the right track. I'm trying to create a workflow that will guarantee a perfect match most of the time, but it does take time no matter what. Maybe it's time to get multiple cameras 😆

Also loving the random colors in the background cuz why not lol. Color is what I like, and color is what I am experimenting with. 😷😎💪🏽 #passion #lovewhatyoudo #alwayslearning #dentalporn #odontologia #dentista
Over quarantine I had the pleasure of spending tim Over quarantine I had the pleasure of spending time on fixing a model of a broken tooth and really focusing on artistry, shape, texture. I really enjoyed trying to mimic the halo at the edges of the tooth but also experimenting with how tiny nuances would create reflective effects on the final- hence the slight difference.

The best part is knowing that hours can go by and I would be fully engaged in my craft. I had my headphones on, a drill set, and some #passion
What I would like people to see that a tooth is rarely one color and it has layers to it. The time and care to build a tooth and make it look like one can really differentiate a cosmetic buildup vs a simple filling. All fillings are not the same!

Dm me if you have a front tooth that needs a freshening up 😜.

I had so much fun taking pictures of bubbles and this tooth. Iv been playing with color a lot while doing composite veneers at home or just with color pencils on paper, but also just observing while on my walks with Mars. I was super inspired to combine dentistry photography and color and was very happy with this 😜
Isnt it so psychadelic 🧘🏽‍♂️ More to come in the next few days 😉

The 2 minutes of brushing should be a meditative a The 2 minutes of brushing should be a meditative and enjoyable part of your daily routine. Especially with the @philipssonicare diamondclean, which is an awesome toothbrush (not an ad!) 🦷 I have been consistently meditating 15-25 minutes at least 5 days a week and am finding it easier to control my thoughts. Also, I’ve always had issues with sitting cross-legged, but with blocks, I’m making steady progress. I can feel my hips open and my spine strengthen 💪🏼 - slowly undoing some of the damages of daily dentistry while at home. I encourage you to, as well, while we have this rare down time! 😀 *Social media management by @thekcagency

Soccer is one of my greatest passions so naturally Soccer is one of my greatest passions so naturally, I had to relate it to my other passion dentistry. 😂 take my brother as my dental assistant in this scenario, and me as the dentist. Team work makes the dream work. Shoutout to the front line who deserve more praise, such as the dental assistant. They are monumental in guiding us through a successful treatment and know the dentist better than anyone in the clinic. I believe in servant leadership in that my job as a dentist is to make their job easier so in turn they can make mine easier, as well, and we can both stay winning. 🙌🏼⚽️🦷❤️ *Social media management by @thekcagency #Rdentists #theexpeRience #teamwork #dentalassistant
While at home with my family, I guess you can say While at home with my family, I guess you can say I've taken EXTREME measures to ensure the best protocols are in tact for COVID-19 (and beyond!). You should always wash your hands before placing any item in your mouth, COVID-19 or not. My brother was flossing after a meal and I just had to make sure he washed his hands. Turns out, he did... oops 😂 don't forget to wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds periodically throughout the day, and of course, floss consistently! 🦷 *Social media management by @thekcagency
Me setting the mood for when I floss after I wine Me setting the mood for when I floss after I wine and dine. 😂 ever heard of satin floss? SO SOFT. SO GOOD.
Don’t forget to floss during this quarantine period before you sleep! What type of floss do you like? Let me know in the comments below ⤵️
In these times of darkness, you gotta find a littl In these times of darkness, you gotta find a little light... These were from yesterday’s trial smile design waxup and you can really see the difference in texture between the the right and left sides here. Teeth are like fingerprints in that everyone is unique. The amount of translucency, texture, shape and color are unique to the individual. During a smile design, it is important to enhance the existing features of the patient so that there's a seamless transition from before to after. That way, patients will feel the teeth are natural and belong in their mouth 😐-->😀 .
.
Also, I did these while listening to @realestateband. That band is so calming 😎😌🧘🏽‍♂️
.
HMU if you know indie bands like them, and also if you're curious about your smile 😜
Here is a trial smile I made with white wax of one Here is a trial smile I made with white wax of one of my patient's teeth. I've had plenty of time in quarantine and what I wanted to focus on/accomplish was getting the light to bounce off in the right places. It was very therapeutic... especially with a glass of wine to do these😜
I deliberately made the left side with more texture to give a more natural look while the right side is a plain flat look. Which side do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below ⤵️ These are feminine teeth and the main giveaway is how curvy the lateral incisors are and the rounded edges. Masculine teeth are sharper on the edges.
These waxups help me visualize how my composite veneers will look. They're like a practice run so on game day I'm ready. Can't wait to get back into it, until then, look out for more of these! 😎😷💪🏽

Obvious do’s and dont’s at home during your qu Obvious do’s and dont’s at home during your quarantine. ✅❎ 1. Wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds. There’s no compromises here.
2. Please respect your teeth. Even holding the beer cap to my teeth made me cringe. Avoid the embarrassing call you would have to make to your emergency dentist if you told him you broke your tooth trying to open a beer bottle. Use a bottle opener!
3. Limit your snacking to healthier foods such as fruits and vegetables as much as possible. The fibre in such foods will help keep your teeth clean. Now I ain't saying don't eat junk food. I eat it, too. Just don’t consume it all day! Try and give your teeth and health some love. Everything in moderation.
4. Of course, don’t forget to floss after you brush. Major key! 🔑 #covid19

3 interesting facts about me (non-dentistry relate 3 interesting facts about me (non-dentistry related):
1. My first passion was Manchester United. Soccer in general has brought me life lessons, a reason to look forward to the weekend and amazing friendships. 🔴❤️
2. My favourite music is alternative rock/indie and classic trance. Music to me needs instruments. If you feel me and are a dentist, DM me. Let’s talk playlists. If you are not a dentist, I would still love to discuss AND be your dentist haha. We can jam out to some tunes during your appointment. 😂🎶
3. Playing the guitar is meditative. I can’t play a particular song, but I like to play to a song and add something to it. I’m doing that a lot more often now with coronavirus. 💆🏻‍♂️🎸 Stay safe during this time and focus on what makes you happy at home. 😄
During your corona virus self-isolation period, re During your corona virus self-isolation period, remember to also clean the junk between your teeth. 😅 while dental offices are currently open for emergency procedures only, it’s important to still remember the basics of oral hygiene that your dentist would reiterate while you are indulging in your “quarantine snacks” - make sure you’re brushing with a fluoride toothpaste... and don’t forget to floss 😉
I hope everyone stays home and safe with their loved ones. Hopefully the next time you come in when we’re up and running again, your teeth will be looking good 😁

Sometimes small changes can result in dramatic eff Sometimes small changes can result in dramatic effects. We can make changes without harming any enamel!

My patient felt her:
1. Lateral incisors were small compared to the centrals.
2. Her canines were sharp. We proceeded to do laser gingivectomy to lengthen her lateral incisors and then composite edge bonding on her laterals, canines and left central incisor.

This gave a her balance and harmony in her smile.
Omnichroma by @tokuyamadental was used to fix the edges of the left central while the laterals involved a mixture of @marshallhansondentistry and @kevinbrown technique as I used omnichroma blocker, omnichroma, cutback and then trans enamel by @tokuyamadental, as well. Grey tints were used by @cosmedentinc.
I plan to bring her back for more polish, especially to change the distal contour of her left lateral. However, I’m very happy with this result and so is she - that's what really matters 😁💪🏼 let me know what you think! #Rdentists #Rclients #theexpeRience
